Eyes of an animal

For the past two weeks we have been making eyes of one of these three animals. You could choose from dog, cat or owl. In the pictures above are one of each. I have the first one which is a dog, James is next with a cat and Emma chose an owl. Comment down below which is your favourite animal out of these 3 choses. If you want to know how to make them keep reading because your nearly there.

You make them by getting an eye template and tracing with pencil then black ink. Then get contrasting pastels and shade the inside in after you have put in your pupil. After make a paper collage with different colors all pointing to the middle. After you have glued all of that down get yourself a nose and stick it on you photo collage as well as your eyes and do an outline in white of its face. Color in the inside with white a few times. Then go over with your black ink and put on some whiskers if your animals need them.

My digital learning shows how I know how to make some insane art and tell the world about it. On mine I enjoyed coloring in the eyes the most because you can choose the contrasting colors that you use. I would say the hardest part is trying to get the face outline how you would like it.

Photo Collage Of The Rethink Center

Today I was making my photo collage about the rethink center. We went to discover different ways to save the environment and how we could help. We had a look at what we could  put in compost, took a look in the sewer and found out what was good in your pack lunch and what was not.

I have photos from when we were seeing who the gods of maori were from the pictures on our necks.
I also have pictures from when we were looking at some glasses made from recyclable materials and from when we were looking at some lunch boxes to see if they were healthy and good for the environment.

I made my photo collage by going on to the learning hub and getting some pictures of our topic. The choices were Turanga health, Matariki breakfast or the reathink center. The we made a copy from a hard drive and gave our slide a colorful background with the pictures that we chose.

I learnt a lot and my attitude has been whipped into shape about the environment.  Now i'm using browns in my compost and I am thinking twice about what I put in my lunch. I am trying really hard and have shared my information with my family and they said they would help if I wanted to.
